It's your website, we just do the geeky bits
One of the steps in our design process is for you to submit design brief to us; and it's there for a very goon reason. You need to talk and we need to listen.
Many web design companies out there will simply have an initial meeting about you and then go off and make all sorts of assumptions about your site such as what colours to use, what style to use and an array of usually misguided guesses forms the basis of your site. That's not right is it, so what we do is keep you involved all the way and lumber you with one of our designers for the duration of your project.
A "standard" process is as follows:
- We'll have a chat with you to get a basic idea of what you want and what you are trying to achieve with your website
- You'll be asked to submit a design brief so you can tell us all sorts of things about what you'd like your site to look like, what it should do and who it should appeal to. This will also give you the chance to set out initial keywors to be used in the search engine optimisation of your site
- Based on what you tell us we will put together one or more design prototypes and then once again sit down with you, this time to discuss the prototypes and agree on any changes or refinements that you would like to see
- Once a perfect design has been agreed, we will put together a one page pilot web page for you to have a click around and play with on the internet. This gives you the chance to see what the site will look like with active links and such like
- Follwing the pilot web page being agreed upon we will then build the rest of the website
- Whilst we are building the rest of the website we will request that you start to think about what sort of content you'd like on it, any text you'd like and any images you might fancy on there plus, where those images will come from (we do have a fantastic photographer who we can reccomend if you'd like)
- Once the website is completed and your content input into the pages we will then sit down again to discuss the final version
- Any tweaks and alterations arising from this will be made and your site launched at an agreed time
You can see just how involved you actually are in all of this.
This level of involvement in your own website means that the end product is so much more valuable than an "off the shelf" style site which doesn't portray your character and image.
Wouldn't you agree?
